Sparkle Boutique are proud to be a registered stockist of Original Terramundi Money Pots!
History... These money pots have been used in Italy for over 2000 years and their hand thrown design remains unchanged.
Tradition... Once the first coin is dropped the money pot must be fed until full, upon which it must be smashed whilst making a wish. It is customary to replace the pot and spend the money on 'good things'. They are said to bring good fortune. These original Terramundi pots are still made in a small family run pottery in Italy, and then painted by hand in a studio in London.
Each Terramundi pot contains a fortune coin and comes with a date and desire card to insert when you begin saving. They hold up to £200 in mixed silver or over £400 in gold coins.
Tip... The best way to smash a money pot is to use a chisel or the back of a hammer and place inside the money slot. Then slowly lever the top and you should be able to pop the top off. This means you can carry on using the pot, maybe to house a plant, a candle or sweets!
